A review of a Cambridgeshire Wedding Photographer's Year....sort of....
There are going to be a million “review” blogs and posts and so on placed all over social media at the moment. Understandably. It’s nice to stand back and reflect on the year as a business as a Cambridgeshire Wedding Photographer, it’s successes, its failures, its ups and downs and see where we are at and let people know. I get it. But I don’t want to do that this time. I have done a fair few over the years and they can be both very enlightening and self defeating for so many different reasons. You see how your style changes from being a pretty traditional wedding photographer to finding your feet and seeing yourself as more of an alternative, fun, different wedding photographer. Especially in Cambridgeshire as there are so many awesome Cambridgeshire based wedding photographers and from the surrounding areas, we all need to make ourselves stand out that little bit more. A review can help that. It can also hinder it.
So here is my “review of the year” in a nutshell…..
Blimey! (with big wide emoji eyes and a shocked look on the face…)
There you go. Sums up my look back on my year perfectly. From a total re-brand (like the new logo? Not so new now but I love it!), to seeing the fruits of all the info I have taken on and implemented in a massively steep second learning curve this year. But boy was it worth it! From worrying about the re-brand and whether it will be received well to actually winning an award at the end of the year, it’s been a whirlwind! And yeah, I know, you have heard this before (a lot!) from me, but I won an award. Highly Commended Photographer from the Four Counties Wedding Awards! Still basking in that one! Spin spin spin! Haven’t stopped! And it’s only going to get madder and by that I mean…..BETTER! So many things to look forward to. Expansion of services in the business (watch this space), more weddings, collaborations that will hopefully bring more exposure, new venues (like the lovely Orchard at Chesfield I have just been added to their trusted supplier list)…..I cannot wait to take a massive chunk out of this and start chewing it all! Being a Cambridgeshire Wedding Photographer hasn’t been this exciting since…..last year!
So lets crack on! I am still taking bookings for 2019 with dates filling up and I am now also taking 2020 bookings, of which I have a few already, so get in touch if you want to chat to an AWARD WINNING (ahhhh it’s not getting any less fun to say it yet…) Cambridgeshire based wedding UK wedding photographer. In the meantime, here are a few off-beat reminders as to this year, not all wedding related, just stuff that has made 2018 a special one and will hopefully lead on to making 2019 a really special one for this particular Cambridgeshire wedding photographer! Totally irreverent and irrelevant if you like, but it’s a look at all the stuff you don’t usually see from me and puts a bit of a smile on the face. If you want to see my usual stuff, head over to the rest of the site and have a look. It’s all there! If you got engaged over the Christmas and New Year period, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Why don’t you get in touch. Would love to have a chinwag about your plans and what you have in mind and let’s see if I can help you along the way!
