John just has such a great chemistry and was happy to go with the flow.
He put everyone with nerves at ease by making them laugh. He was great with the younger kids, got some amazing shots of my children running around and rolling down the hills that we wouldn't have thought of having taken, which are now some of our favourite photos. Captured the perfect and most precious moments perfectly! From Pre wedding shoot to the day of the wedding, he was perfect! We set an expectation level for what we wanted in a photographer and he blew that level away! Fantastic communication. Nothing was too much to ask, we wanted a certain shot and he made sure we got it! I want to do it all again! Couldn't have picked a better person to capture our perfect day. John was excellent and a pleasure to work with - relaxed, funny and he clearly loves his job. We were blown away by the photos he took - they really captured the day and brought tears to our eyes. John was full of energy on the day itself; looking for the best shots; a reunion with a friend I hadn’t seen in ages and a photo of my husband running to meet the registrar on time are a couple of great examples of this. John is a fantastic photographer and a great guy to work with. He made us feel at ease from the very start and was happy to chat about ideas and was lovely when we had to delay our big day due to COVID. He helped us through our pre-wedding shoot and his excitement around the photos and the day only made us more excited. So many of our guest have commented saying that they didn’t even know he was there, during the day and we were so surprised by some of the moments that he managed to capture. He really did just blend in and we couldn’t have been happier with him and the photos are absolutely amazing. We would recommend him to anyone!

My husband and I got married in September 2021 and I’ve gone to write this review so many time but wanted to do it justice, the same way John captured our wedding! The most down to earth but professional photographer, the photos are undeniably perfect and John made us feel so comfortable the whole time. All my wedding guest loved John and he became part of the day rather than just the photographer. We will always be forever grateful for the wonderful photos to look back on, we would book John again in a heartbeat!

For a couple who prefers to be behind the camera instead of in front of it, we were nervous to start trying to find a photographer to capture our wedding. However after a little googling, we came across Johns website. We straight away fell in love with his pictures and the fact he had a cuppa in his logo was a win for me! What really sold it for us, was once we met him! He popped round to our house and before we knew it over an hour had passed, John made us feel comfortable, at ease and felt like a friend by the end of it! Our practise photo shoot was a success, and got us used to being in front of the camera (highly recommend doing, even if you don't want to!) When it came to the day John slotted in and became part of the wedding party, his enthusiasm was infectious and our family and friends have commented on how awesome he was! When we got access to our pictures, we flicked through together, and it felt like we were reliving the day. John captured so many special moments and emotions throughout the day and have left us with images that we will treasure forever! I cannot recommend John enough as a wedding photographer, and as a great guy! Anyone thinking of sending an inquiry, DO IT! You will not regret it! Thank you John, you're the best!!

On the day, John was there and set up ahead of us arriving and he completely blended into the background whilst taking amazing photos - it never once felt like he was "in our faces" or distracting (which was really important to me as I wanted to focus on our ceremony and friends). He stole us away for a short couples shoot which was such fun and actually a nice break for my partner and I to be together and reflect on how amazingly the day was going. John was totally happy to incorporate out crazy springer spaniel into the shots - not minding her photobombing in the middle of taking some photos. John has the most lively and bubbly personality and it felt like he was such a cheerleader for us - encouraging us and really embracing not only his job, but also our celebration. He did such a wonderful job and captured the constant laughs and the colours of the glorious day. He was such a fun person to have photograph this for us and I'm so happy we got in touch with him!

I think to review John purely on his photography is a bit of a disservice to him. He is an extremely warm, friendly, fun, professional guy who really does care about you as a couple, your wedding and how he can help you to preserve the big day. From the moment we met John we knew he was going to be our photographer for our special day. He arrived and instantly got to know us, our likes, dislikes, hobbies and wanted to know what we wanted from him. It felt like we had known him for years. I believe we were chatting for over 2 hours! On our engagement/pre-wedding shoot, it confirmed we had made the right choice. Us being pretty shy in front of a camera, John made it fun and feel completely natural. We were at ease almost instantly, and had an absolute blast doing it. Come our wedding day, John was essentially part of the guest list. Everyone loved him. Thank you for our wonderful pictures. Every time we look back at them we smile. We really do look forward to grabbing a beer with you soon.

When we needed a wedding photographer for our wedding, I had no idea he would be one of the highlights at our wedding! I spoke to a few photographers at a wedding fair and they didn't impress me. Then we met John and I knew after two mins of chatting he was the one! He was so lovely and informative and just a real nice down to earth guy. His photography is second to none, as well as the time and energy he puts into his work and just being himself. John has stuck by us for the last 2 years when covid threw a massive spanner in the works! He's always been free to talk and offer advice. When we first asked to hire him, he came to our house and chatted to us for about two hours to get to know us... How many businesses do that for you?! He is worth every penny and so much more. I never thought I wanted to spend much on a wedding photographer, but you know, John was one of the most important people on the day. He was and is worth so much more than what he charges, it's outstanding value when you look at all the time and effort he puts in. We included John in our table plan because it felt right to welcome him as a guest as well as our photographer. We will absolutely be using John again for his photography but also inviting him to our home because he's such a great guy. It's like when you go on holiday and meet people that you know you'll always hope and want to see again. Thanks for everything John!

John was a complete winner in our eyes from the moment we met him! John has such an easy going and passionate air about him that we immediately knew he was the perfect fit for us and our wedding. As a couple who are not used to being in front of the camera, and a little awkward, John put us at complete ease and captured both absolutely breathtaking photographs as well as capturing natural moments throughout our day and night between us and our closest loved ones. It's been nearly a year since our wedding and I still often look through the amazing photo book and pictures John sent in our package and wonder how he was able to capture so many details of our perfect day, details that could have been forgotten had he not captured them and for that I will always be thankful. Just incredible! We LOVE all our photos!! We always knew from day one of meeting you we wanted you to shoot out wedding and receiving our gallery has proved why! We met John at a wedding fair and after seeing what others had to offer we went back to him and booked him. Finally after covid and other setbacks we finally got married and in that time we had nothing but a professional service throughout, meeting for coffee to discuss things, emails etc…nothing was to much trouble for him . Wedding day was such a great laugh and he put everyone at ease. The pictures are amazing! Would recommend John 100% to anyone looking for a fabulous photographer. You won't be disappointed.
